For the last few years I have owned the coolest house I've ever encountered in Nashville. I came across it by accident - a friend took me to a Christmas party when I first moved back to town in 2015. I was looking for a house with a single rental unit but I couldn't find anything. He introduced me to an agent friend of his at the party. I told her I was looking for a house with some income potential. She said "Well, I actually own a house that I'm about to sell and it's a quadplex." I passed out. When I came to, I set up a time to see the house and once I saw it, I fell in love and I absolutely had to have it.

Nestled on a quiet family friendly street in Inglewood in East Nashville, this home is the largest home on Ravenwood Drive. It is situated just a 10 minute walk from Riverside Village and is just a 15 minute drive thru lovely East Nashville to get into downtown. This home was named by the previous owners, and the name simply comes from the street onto which it was built. When I bought the home, there was a sign on the front that said Ravenwood Manor. I loved it and the name stuck, along with the sign!

The home as it is today is incredibly unique for Nashville, TN. You might see the occasional duplex or a home with multiple rooms for rent, but a proper quadplex in East Nashville is totally unheard of. The original ranch section of the house was built in the 1950’s along with many other homes in the area. Eventually, the original owner’s family had grown but they all wanted to remain close without being on top of each other. He opted to do several additions to the house to give each adult family member a private space of their own with it’s own entry. This expansion effectively quadrupled the home’s original size, making it an exceedingly rare quadplex.

There are 17 finished rooms in total in the whole house - 4 kitchens, 4 bathrooms, 5 to 6 bedrooms, 4 living rooms and there is a laundry in each space. On top of all of this living space, there is a very lovely front yard and fully fenced shared back yard and there are as many decks as there are apartments.

Eventually the home made it’s way to me. I have been slowly restoring and renovating each space and giving them my own personal touches.
