The first step to applying is to fill out this form. Once you’ve submitted it, you should receive a request from Experian to purchase your credit report ($14) and take part in their tenant screening process. You will receive a copy of your credit report, and I will be able to access the basics of that report as well as Experian’s screening recommendation results, which are based on your income, credit history, eviction record and your criminal history. I do not receive any money from Experian and this report is beneficial for you to see whether you are approved or not.

Fear not! I do not require a perfect credit rating, though a good score will certainly help. I also do not require a spotless criminal record however if you do have a history I may have to decline your application depending on the severity.

The most important things to me are a steady, verifiable combined monthly source of income of roughly 3 times the monthly rent, indications of general financial health and your personal references.
